team of professionals, and led by a dedicated supervisor
with more than twenty-years in the client services field.
The department is fully operational 24 hours a day,
7 days a week.

Report Distribution
Flexible reporting options provides the assurance that
you receive the results you need, how you need them,
and when you need them. All routine tests are available
by no later than 8AM the following morning. Your practice
can select one or more of the following options.
- Report Delivery to virtually any Electronic Health
Record (EHR) System
- Internet Access to Test Results through our secure

- LabCare
(Laboratory Interface)—the intuitive laboratory connectivity
system that seamlessly interfaces with your existing
billing or practice management software. It’s the
only laboratory system you’ll ever need!

All Shiel Medical Laboratory reports arrive on attractive,
easy-to-read, laser printed documents. Specially colored
papers signify partial or complete reports.
- Remote Printing through a high-quality laser printer,
custom installed in your office, which connects to
our server to receive results and reports from Shiel's
network. Most test results are available by 8:00 AM
the following morning. Earlier print times can be
arranged by special request.
- Remote Fax: Shiel's automated fax system allows
customers to receive fax results as they become available.

Phlebotomy
Over sixty highly qualified phlebotomists are on Shiel's
staff to assure every Shiel client a comfortable experience
when drawing their blood for diagnostic purposes. Our
well-organized resources allow Shiel to reliably service
our patient service centers and to consistently meet
or exceed the expectations of our contracts (our superior
performance has helped Shiel become a favored service
provider to Visiting Nurse Service (VNS) in Queens and
Nassau County). Our superb management will allow Shiel
to effortlessly expand our phlebotomy department as
we continue to grow.

House Calls
Home services are readily available, and Shiel's qualified
and compassionate staff is ready to meet the needs of
homebound patients. Our team of phlebotomists, supervised
by three experienced managers, has the resources to
serve the broadest range of clients needs. Every phlebotomist
is equipped with a NEXTEL radio-phone so they can be
located and dispatched on a moments notice if necessary.

Medical Laboratory operates blood drawing facilities
at Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens Rockland and Nassau locations.
